Overview
Imagine a contemporary modular approach to Bible school - online classes, study where you are with your favourite electronic 'companion', access top-quality resources from around the world - sounding good?
Now imagine that in unlikely places: the Karamoja region of Uganda, which seems to run a few decades behind the rest of Africa; small towns in the semi-arid region of Turkana in northern Kenya; the Maasai towns of south Kenya.
Put these together and you've arrived at one of our Local Bible Institutes. (Well, we're not doing school online - Internet is still scarce in those places - but we're the next closest thing to it.) Advancing technology has brought us to the point where it is more cost-effective to use tech tools in the age-old task of pastoral training than traditional methods.
